At The Hospital Research Foundation, we believe everyone deserves someone fighting for their health.
From pre-birth to palliative care to the many devastating diseases in between, we are there with you fighting every step of the way. Fighting for the very best care for you and your loved ones, informed by the latest research.
Our support extends to more than 50 areas of research and patient care across all South Australian communities and public hospitals. This also includes many rare and hard-to-treat diseases, bringing hope to everyone suffering from these heartbreaking conditions.
Because if we don’t, who will?
You may not be aware that each year there is an increasing number of children and adults who are diagnosed with a rare type of neuroendocrine cancer, where tumours form in the network of glands and nerve cells that release hormones into the bloodstream to control how our bodies function.
Together with your support, the esteemed Nuclear Medicine Department at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital can give hope to these patients, as one of only a few centres nationally to provide a specialised targeted radiotherapy for these tumours to slow their rate of progression and improve patients’ quality of life.
This team, together with hundreds more hardworking doctors and nurses in hospitals across South Australia, are fighting for your health!
From cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, dementia and many more, they are fighting for a cure for you and your loved ones.
By purchasing a ticket in the Hospital Research Home Lottery, you can join their fight.
You can fight for hope.
Thank you for your ongoing support. We are stronger together.
